Revision as of 10:18, 17 July 2012 by Andrew.ross.eclipse.org (Talk | contribs) (How do I create my project there?)

What is LocationTech Labs?

LocationTech Labs is an incubation facility hosted at GitHub. It is meant for projects that plan to one day host their project at LocationTech, but need a light weight place to get started.

Projects hosted at LocationTech Labs are not full fledged LocationTech projects and thus do not receive the same benefits such as IP review, marketing, support for code sprints and other events, and other benefits that LocationTech projects enjoy.

What licenses are permitted at LocationTech labs?

The approved licenses for LocationTech labs are the same ones as LocationTech itself:

  • EPL
  • MIT
  • BSD
  • Apache 2.0

What are the other rules?

  1. TBD

How do I create my project there?

  • We will set up a web form soon. For now, please contact andrew dot ross at eclipse dot org and include the following:
    • Name and describe your project briefly.
    • State the project's license.
    • The names, emails, and github ids of any project committers.
    • What would you like your repository to be called?
