Hosting Tips on the Eclipse Wiki
If you put your tips on the Eclipse wiki, it is possible to serve them directly into the framework through an IHtmlTip or json provider. Doing this has the added advantage that you have a list of tips on the wiki as well.
- Each tip must have its own page, Click here for an example
- You need to provide the URL like this: https://wiki.eclipse.org/Tip_of_the_Day/Eclipse_Tips/Now_where_was_I?action=render
- You can make a list of tips Click here for an example
NOTE: My current experience is that tips hosted from the wiki can be slow to load. You might want to author the tips on the wiki but host them in your plugin or on the Eclipse Download site (with mirroring).
