Minutes

  • TAF update
    • The DEADLOCK issue is still present in the code. Mainly triggered by a programmatic write of Annotations while an auditor is trying to read annotations.
    • Yuri/Andrey proposed to use deferred write mechanism for the Annotation Framework which would eliminate problems.
    • This won't be included in the 0.4 release as too late in the cycle.
  • 0.4 Release
    • tag taken on Friday. Almost no change since (except for a tiny change from Yuri).
    • Chris has been doing some testing and found a few issues addressed by Richard and Eric.
    • Eric to review the status there (thru spreadsheet to be shared) and decide on 0.4 release potentially today.
    • Additional bugs will be addressed in a maintenance release within a couple of weeks.
    • Yet it is important to release ASAP as there is no show-stopper and 0.4 is awaited as is the first release on Ganymede.
  • Tigerstripe Project plan:
    • Eric still working on this. Hoping to publish something for review by Wednesday.
    • Currently thinking that we will slow down the release pace as we are going to stabilize the product.
    • No more additional feature current scheduled except for:
      • OCL support
      • Programmatic API for Instance Diagrams
      • EMF migration (Phase 1).
    • We will probably use maintenance releases and milestone releases between now and Q1'09.
  • Auditor triggers too often
    • On large models, the incremental auditor from Tigerstripe trigger too often.
    • Eric gave a brief summary of how and why. Would need to be fixed by using proper decision tree on what to audit and when. Indexing would be required. This is to be further discussed.
  • Still no answer from paper submissions for Eclipse conf in Europe (nov'08).
