  • No

4.5.2 Status

  • Team notes that there are still a good number of open defects
    • Joanna is going to try to do a triage

Harm mentions that reattach missing data issue was discussed in bugzilla a bit

  • Question came up about whether it is really targeted for 4.5.2 or 4.5.3
  • Bugzilla indicates it is targeted for 4.5.2 but the work cannot be contained in that timeframe
  • Joanna will move to 4.5.3
  • Harm mentioned that we should start now to make sure it is done for 4.5.3
  • Raheel mentioned that there might be consumers picking up 4.5.2 which is why it was on the 4.5.2 wishlist

Team discussed the "new" AC and TI profiler ports to new architectures

  • Jonathan posted a patch to bugzilla for review on 390
  • He has made some changes based on comments
  • Proposed next steps
    • Merge to create final patch
      • phase 1 -- AC and harmony code
      • post patch, checkin, build/regress test
      • phase 2 -- probekit and JVMTI
      • post patch, checkin, build/regress test

Harm asked relative to test passes, where do these phases fall.

  • Joanna indicated that ideally both phases would be done by Jan 19 (before enter test passes)
  • As long as this doesn't impact the schedule this plan sounds good
  • Who should review?
    • Chris will review.
    • Chris will probe Asaf to see if he has time to look at it

Oliver asks if it is Java or native code. It is all C/C++ code.

  • Oliver has someone who can look at stuff as well with Z-series experience
    • Chris mentioned one particular area that that was tweaking endianness
    • Joanna mentioned that the endianness code changes were some of the hardest parts of the work
    • Oliver will have his team member look at it. 259133

Mentor projects

Over the break, two projects came up for discussion that might fall in either TPTP or might be mentored by TPTP.

Test automation: TAP project

  • Paul notes that this was already dispositioned because it is part of the FanFare project that was already discussed

componentBee: test/multitier analysis

  • This project uses probekit and some other components of TPTP and is thinking of being either a subproject or a consumer of TPTP in some fashion.
  • We decided that there is definately potential match.
  • Team decided that we should invite them to PMC meet to discuss in more detail.
    • Oliver will try to schedule them for 10:30 (ET) one of the meetings.

Misc

Oliver needs an AC meeting representative for next meeting

  • Joanna can go or send someone if Oliver can send dialin and time details

Conference call dialins are about to expire

  • Action item for Chris to send new bridges

Over the holidays there was a mail thread about multicore analysis.

  • Action item for Chris to follow up

We briefly discussed EclipseCon. Travel budgets are still being worked out by IBM and Intel. Current tenative list is: IBM: Eugene, Jonathan, Intel: Chris, Yunan

  • Oliver will be sending mail as PMC lead to try to solicit an additional potential attendee from IBM
