This document documents the reasons for build failures for the Eclipse SDK team. It's not pretty. However, it will serve as a record as the source of the build failures so we can address them.

Build hung due to problems copying the files to eclipse.org for signing. I have disabled signing on subsequent builds until this problem can be addressed.

Build failed due to problems copying signed from eclipse.org. I restarted the build and all the tests ran.

Build machine's disk became full overnight because releng was running so many test builds to test changes to test framework to accomodate launcher changes.

Windows tests don't run jdt.apt.compiler tests exceed windows path limit and the zip cannot be extracted on the windows test machine.

JDT feature was updated with a new plugin but the plugin was not updated in the map file.

SWT refers to a version of the plugin in the map file that doesn't exist in the CVS repo.

NFS problems on build.eclipse.org prevent signed build from being copied back from eclipse.org. The webmaster changed the disk we use to ones outside the nfs shared disks.

N200701230010 did not run due to the inability to check out code due to eclipse.org infrastructure issues.
I200701230800 has compile errors due to missing files in submission from PDE family due to eclipse.org outage.
