Previous meeting minutes
- Review previous meeting minutes if you'd like. That is, review them before the meeting, but if questions or issues with previous minutes, this would be a good time to bring them up.
Neon maintenance
- No new issues
Oxygen Planning
The following projects have dropped out of the simultaneous release:
- Andmore - Eclipse Android Tooling
- Eclipse Gyrex Project
- Eclipse Graphical Modeling Framework (GMF) Tooling
- Riena Project
The GMF Notation Project will merge with GMF Runtime (See bug 509485):
- Eclipse Graphical Modeling Framework (GMF) Notation
- Eclipse Graphical Modeling Framework (GMF) Runtime
The EMF Transaction, Validation, and Query projects will merge and reboot (see bug 509487).
We have not heard definitively from these projects:
- Data Tools Platform
- Thym
- Lua Development Tools (LDT)
The Data Tools project currently has a single active committer. Neil Hauge is (reportedly) investigating options for bringing resources to Data Tools. The Data Tools project is no longer acting as a top-level project and so will likely be moved into a subproject of either Tools or Web Tools (see bug 510140).
New Business
The EMO is in the process of identifying a new Planning Council Chair. We are hopeful that we'll have this resolved in time for a new Chair to take over in July 2017 (immediately post-Oxygen). In the meantime, Wayne Beaton will assume the Planning Council Chair role on an interim basis.
Fred Gurr will--effective immediately--take over primary responsibility for release engineering in the simultaneous release.
