Focusing on Helios release at this meeting.
Status: 2 outstanding bugs before final build
- Java proxy PBS. Fixed in latest build? Please test
- Resource Managers vs Service Configuration: Greg has patch; Al is trying it
Chris: Has fixes for xlC, xlUPC remote toolchains in RDT - will check in this afternoon
Greg will kick off another build this afternoon, and then later tonight. We could sneak in one more build before Helios final if necessary. Aggregation of update sites for Helios isn't until Thursday.
Q: How do we promote a build to be included in Helios? A: Put it in our update site. Some files need a manual edit to enable download status (unjar, edit xml, re-jar).
There might be another build (aggregation of update sites) next week.
After tomorrow, please make no changes to HEAD except to docs. We will make a ptp_4_0 branch at some time.
How to mark something as provisional API? In the manifest.
Chris says that next year there are plans to factor out RSE into its own Plugin.
Wyatt will look at New&Noteworthy for ETFw. Al will look at N&N for PBS. PTP Core N&N - Greg won't have until next week. Will provide link to Wiki in the online N&N included with PTP docs.
PTP 3.0.2 build - is wanted by X10DT. Two more bugs need to be fixed by Greg first. June 4 has RT regression, so X10DT won't work. Will build by end of next week at earliest. (Later update: X10DT decided to upgrade to including PTP 4.0 instead).
Chris proposed making Crag Rasmussen a Committer Emeritus. Greg will nominated Craig.
Next meeting is July 13.
