Minutes

There was brief discussion at the beginning of the meeting on where we are in the i5 cycle. The test phase has been entered and Saurabh announced an i5 candidate driver on 6/12. Testing should be performed with this driver. Josh gave an update on his progress on TPTP tests. Good progress has been made on TPTP tests for the command line interface, but the orchestrator and handlers will be more problematic in particular because the handlers interact with system objects such as the Windows registry or the file system. The group discussed the potential use of Java mock objects in order to create faux objects and entry data for the TPTP tests. Josh to explore. i6 plans were also discussed. Jason is to create the i6 feature page and all are to load it with i6 enhancements. i6 development phase begins on 6/29. Group discussion also ensued around testing COSMOS 1.1 on top of the Eclipse Galileo release. Brad found one problem that he already corrected. More testing should be done within other COSMOS projects. Saurabh is to establish a Galileo testing environment and run through the COSMOS end to end tests in that environment. David notes that DV is only loosely coupled to Eclipse as the UI is written in Dojo. RM and SDD seem to make heaviest use of the Eclipse platform. This is good news because both of these are the most active projects in COSMOS at this time. The team will assess any bugs found as a result of testing on Galileo and will respond according either with fixes or workarounds.
