BIRT2.6 Rampdown Policy

Purpose

This document describes a set of ramp down rules for the BIRT 2.6 Release. The Builds and Release decisions occurs on the dates listed for each Release Candidate.

For reference, see the Helios Simultaneous Release Plan the Milestones and Release Candidates .

Date

May 18 : BIRT 2.6 RC1

Through May 14, Testing and Fix pass.
Monday May 17 : BIRT 2.6 RC1 Candidate build.
Monday May 17 until Tuesday May 18: RC1 Candidate testing. Helios update site update.
Tuesday May 18 until Wednesday May 19: Candidate build repackage with WTP3.2 RC1 and vote for the candidate build.

May 25 : BIRT 2.6 RC2

Tuesday May 18 through May 23, Testing and Fix pass. All Bug fixes must be approved by a Project Lead.
Monday May 24 : BIRT 2.6 RC2 Candidate build.
Monday May 24 until Tuesday May 25: RC2 Candidate testing. Helios update site update.
Tuesday May 25 until Wednesday May 26: Candidate build repackage with WTP3.2 RC2 and vote for the candidate build.

June 1 : BIRT 2.6 RC3

Tuesday May 25 through May 30, Testing and Fix pass. All Bug fixes must be approved by a Project Lead.
Monday May 31: BIRT 2.6 RC3 Candidate build.
Monday May 31 until Tuesday June 1: RC3 Candidate testing. Helios update site update.
Tuesday Jun 1 until Wednesday Jun 2: Candidate build repackage with WTP3.2 RC3 and vote for the candidate build.

June 08: BIRT 2.6 RC4

Wednesday June 2 through June 6 Testing and Fix pass. All Bug fixes must be approved by the at least two project leads and BIRT PMC.
Monday June 7: BIRT 2.6 RC4 Candidate build.
Monday June 7 until Tuesday June 8: RC4 Candidate testing. Helios update site update.
Tuesday June 8 until Wednesday June 9: Candidate build repackage with WTP3.2 RC4 and vote for the candidate build.

Post BIRT 2.6 RC4 through Helios Release

Tuesday June 8 until Tuesday June 15 (Helios Release): Testing Pass.
Additional RC Builds will be scheduled as necessary.
