Agenda
- Release Status
- Revisit release date - move to Nov 30
- Set release schedule - see 3.0 release schedule
- Helios
- We plan to join the Eclipse simultaneous release for mid-2010
- See Helios_Simultaneous_Release
- This means earlier integration with Eclipse Helios release and the next CDT
- But it also means less confusion for our users, and PTP availability on the main Eclipse.org update sites
- PTP Status
- RDT Status
- Photran Status
- ISP Contribution Status
- Chris and Ganesh reported fixing some bugs and provided better support for Makefile projects
- Delay of PTP 3.0 allows for more testing, bug fixes, et.
- Greg noted that bug fix patches of < 250 LOC do not need to go through another Eclipse legal review
- ETFw Status
- Beth plans to put new "External Tools Feedback" view as part of ETFw - will show an XML file generated by another tool, in an eclipse view, and map to source code lines (or character locations).
- Wyatt working on ...
- Other new contributions?
- Max is working on new UPC project wizard. Concerns about contributing prematurely (but delaying PTP 3.0 a month helps this). Concerns about if it belongs in CDT vs PTP (including with PTP can get it out very soon, vs waiting for CDT will mean mid-2010). It can always be contributed to CDT later. Max's PPW (Parallel Performance Wizard) need this wizard for ease of use. Current wizard is based on Berekeley UPC.
- Interest in new project wizard / toolchain development from GCC UPC creators too.
- Other Business
- Upcoming PTP Tutorial at SC09
- PGAS Conference - PTP mini-tutorial related to UPC tools (Beth)
- Eclipse.org disk space quotas (Beth) - we will delete builds downloads for already-released versions of PTP (<3.0) since they are available as official releases now. Will link to these from wiki builds pages.
