    • RTSC
      • skeleton only
      • No bugzilla items yet.
    • TM
      • bugzillas in T&P done, plan is complete. Working with Dave Carver and others on fixing and improving the plan renderer.

  • DSDP presentation to Board in September
    • See "Report Outline" in my separate email.
    • What I need from each project: write up information for items 2-6 as they specifically relate to your project.
    • This will be a written report, not a powerpoint.
    • ALL: Complete the draft by end of August. Word document.

    • NAB - probably can't go.
    • TmL - travel is not likely
  • Packaging proposal (no update today)

    • Unanimous approval to create the incubator. Doug: create the DSDP incubator and build the initial website.
  • Project Updates
    • DD
      • Working on 1.1 progressing as scheduled.
      • Talking about contributing lots of DD to the CDT project. Discussions started. He would become a component lead in CDT.
      • Pawel would ultimately like to find a home for all components do that we can EOL the DD project.
    • eRCP
      • Release review for eRCP 1.2 is next Wed. Charts approved.
      • Upcoming plan - S60 eRCP contribution at a 1.1 level. They are not committing to 1.2 level.
      • Nokia diminishing involvement
      • Maintenance release between 1.2 and 1.3.
      • Moving to RT in September
      • eRCP in OSGi standardization - approved at board. One caveat: OSGi cannot restrict what Eclipse can do. Mark working with OSGi now.
      • eRCP 1.3 - next July following the Ganymede release - will be in RT project by then.
      • Weekly build setup now.
    • MTJ
      • Nightly builds setup now.
      • Working on a 0.9.5 release of MTJ.
      • EclipseME ramp-down likely in Q3, perhaps aligned with a 1.0 release.
      • Working on eliminating final legal dependencies.
      • RIM is lurking but not active yet.
      • Next step is to get Sybase more formally involved.
    • NAB
      • Still working on Japanese localization.
      • Japanese bugzilla - Bugzilla 3.2
    • RTSC
      • Finished major internal release.
      • Project-specific wiki via a vserver. All internal wiki docs transferred over.
      • Next step: IP review and then code transfer.
      • Dave: Contact Eclipse legal about best terms of use for their vserver wiki.
      • Future discussion: Rights for who can modify the wiki.
    • TM
      • Lots of planning work this time.
      • Project is going well. Lots of community requests. TCF is also seeing some uptake now. AnywhereTech, MontaVista
      • GSoC student is making slow, but good progress.
      • Releng - Nick Boldt is working on moving viewCVS to project dash (among other things). This will be one officially copy, which will allow access from the main web site. Nick is working on a vmware image for automated builds.
      • Martin is the chair of the AC now
        • 1 member from each strategic member, 1 PMC rep, plus appointed folks.
        • Council that you can approach with your questions. Lots of mentoring and experience possibilities.
    • TmL (updated from an email)
      • Preparing for TmL 0.1 Release for September 2008 release.
      • Fabio is moving the project source code from CVS to SVN prior to the 0.1 release. As part of this change, he is removing some deprecated sources that are no longer used. He will modify the automated build scripts and the update site accordingly.
      • We have a project plan with milestone dates for being on the June 2009 train release. The plan is in XML format on eclipse.org. The Eldorado team in Brazil are working toward these dates.
      • Motorola is currently integrating TmL into their commercial MOTODEV Studio product(s). Should be finished in October with some code contributions coming into TmL from the Studio teams.
      • Otavio has completed the /proc filesystem proof-of-concept using meminfo. He is currently working on the 'top' command. Once he is done with these two, he will work on providing extension points for other developers to add to this feature. This would be a good place for interns and Summer of Code participants to interact with an Eclipse project.
      • We would like to nominate Yu-Fen Ko from MontaVista as a committer once TmL 0.1 is released, based on her contributions to the project. However, she will then be on maternity leave starting some time this fall. The question is how to have her as a committer status "on hold" until she returns after the start of the year.
      • Eric and Christian presenting TmL later today (Thursday) at Linux World in SFO.
  • Next Meeting: Sept 11 (I have a conflict on Sept 4).
