Eclipse Foundation OIDs
IANA has assigned to the Eclipse Foundation, the OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.28392
This is the OIDs below this arc may be used by the Eclipse foundation (typically by different Eclipse projects) for purposes of uniquely identifying various objects.
To make use of an OID, an appropriate arc should be identified and a new OID added below that. By convention wiki.eclipse.org pages may be used to do this in the following way:
- Name the wiki page Object_Identifier_1.3.6.1.4.1.28392.<continuation of oid arcs>.
- For example, if you are creating a new arc for an Eclipse project, you might create a page called Object_Identifier_1.3.6.1.4.1.28392.1
- If you are creating an arc or leaf-level oid within an Eclipse project already assigned an oid, yo might create a page called Object_Identifier_1.3.6.1.4.1.28392.1.5.258
- The wiki page should explain the purpose of the oid, and should link back to the parent arc.
See 1.3.6.1.4.1.28392 and children for examples
