JDT Sync Call: 4th April, 2023. UTC: 1200 - 1230 Attendees: Alex, Jeff, Manoj, Roland.
Roland: Focussed on: jdt.ui refactoring, package explorer - jdt.ls - patch - thanks to IBM Team for Java 20 release work Manoj: Stephan Herrmann helped out very much directly and others including the participants here, Andrey and others indirectly as well addressing issues and helping us to focus on Java 20 work. It was not just IBM team. Jeff: copy qualified name copying the file - will people having dependency? - may be the only controversial fix - targeting for M1 for early feedback. - pattern quick fixes - not yielding to quick fixing - waiting for Java 21. Roland: converting String templates a quick fixes. Alex: jdt.ls editor is shaping up - good for generic editing sans bells and whistles. Usable for developing itself. Manoj: primarily on Java 20 work, the preview features are expected to change in Java 21. So no need to put too much effort on refactorings. Completion Issues: still at large, there are lot issues.Would be good to have additional hands - Andrey is helping out.
