Agenda and Notes

  • Status bu sub-group
    • SPIRIT (Anthony)
      • Anthony making contributions to IP-XACT editor for 1.4 spec. Able to contribute to repository in February.
      • Building successfully on Ganymede train.
    • Memory (Samantha)
      • Samantha going away from X-mas until end of January. Ted was going to submit list of features he would like to contribute to Memory view, but the time window for features is running out.
      • API freeze in M5 - February.
    • Disassembly (Mikhail)
      • Not able to make progress because of other commitments. Still need few weeks development time before presenting prototype.
      • Do not want to make a presentation before having a working prototype.
    • DSF (Pawel)
      • Completed couple of wide-scope refactorings in the non-UI part of the framework, so non UI interfaces will have a lot less churn from this point on. I still need to complete a refactoring of the UI interfaces.
      • I have submitted a few of patches for CDT to enable DSF model interoperability with CDT (211533, 207094, 210558).
    • GDB/MI (Veenu)
      • Source path mapping in GDB is broken (several bugs filed in CDT: bug 215220 and others).
    • Multi Context (Pawel)
      • Postponed work until Spring. Wind River's product work cut into my time I had dedicated for this and we decided that we can live with another patched solution in 3.4. Also the time window in 3.4 was getting short to address the many outstanding questions about workflow in the proposal.
      • Platform Debug incubator project
  • Discussion Topics
    • Contribute the CDT Modules view to Platform? (bug 211158)
      • Does the CDT modules view work for IBM?
        • Introduces a dependency on provisional APIs.
      • Would need to go through the IP process if it's bigger than 250 LOC, but it would derive from Variable view so it might squeak by without needing the review.
      • Do we need a standard modules model?
  • Action Items:
    • Pawel: submit a link to CDT Module view documentation to bug 211158.
    • Samantha: review the CDT Modules view documentation and decide whether it would conflict with IBMs Modules view.
