Status Updates

  • Combining Textual and Graphical Modeling (Lead: Simon)
    • Status update by Philip
  • DSML Task force (Lead: Philip)
    • Discussions with Jürgen Dingel, Jean-Michel Bruel, and Ernesto Posse
    • Jean-Michel Bruel will have a look at the P-IM customization documentation in the wiki and extend them wherever necessary
    • Philip will review those together with Ernesto to continously extend the docs
    • Future plan: work with one or two students to create a model-based definition of customizations (archetype)
  • Product line support (Lead: Florian)
    • Per has not shared a feature map
    • Florian was giving an update:
      • CEA has started to work on a list of features
      • Separation and splitting might have a deep impact
      • This year: preparation; Goal for Oxygen: prepare dependency to be removed and decoupled; but won't do actual split; maintaining API stability
  • Dependency management when building products (Lead: Per)
    • No updates
  • DSML "SDK" -- Papyrus Tool Smith (Lead: Florian)
    • SDK equals "Papyrus Toolsmith" will contain all the DSML tooling; preparing for Oxygen
    • Own tool that will be released as such
    • Developer tools will not be released in the Nexus (not right place); to be decided where and if at all
    • Developer tools example: JUnit plug-ins, facilities to update the maven pom files
    • Developer tools have not really been designed to be shared/published

Architecture Committee Lead

Rémi is back at work and will take the lead of this committee over again from Philip.

Next Meeting

Next meeting will take place on the 15th of November 2016 to get in sync with the monthly steering committee meetings.
