This how-to describes how to add turn off auto-generation of FormData

Problem description

Occasionally, there are situations where you add some code of your own to the FormData class of a form (e.g. in order to debug something), but every time you save the Form file, the FormData file is recreated, wiping your own additions/modifications.

Solution

The auto generation can be disabled by changing the following code from:

@FormData(value = PersonFormData.class, sdkCommand = SdkCommand.CREATE)
public class PersonForm extends AbstractForm {

to

@FormData(value = PersonFormData.class, sdkCommand = SdkCommand.USE)
public class PersonForm extends AbstractForm {
