The bundle of code provided for this initial contribution to Papyrus consists of two features that gathered a set of additional plug-ins. The core features consists of a set of plug-in that together supply the basic facilities required for the UML editor. It is also called the backbone of Papyrus. The second feature consists of plug-in that implement the diagram editors of the UML2 tool. The content of both features is described below:

Papyrus is an open source component of the Model Development Tools (MDT) subproject to provide an integrated environment for editing UML and SysML models. Specially, this project will provide the glue around valuable UML and SysML diagram editors (GMF-based or not) and other MDE tools. It will also offer support for UML and SysML profiling mechanisms.

We are proud to announce you that the initial contribution for the MDT's component Papyrus has been done today :-) The bundle of code provided for this initial contribution to Papyrus consists of two features that gathered a set of additional plug-ins. The core features consists of a set of plug-in that together supply the basic facilities required for the UML editor. It is also called the backbone of Papyrus. The second feature consists of plug-in that implement the diagram editors of the UML2 tool. The content of both features is described below:
