A picture taken with a camera lets us see the world through a photographer's eyes. But the options of representing the personal involvement with the photograph are restricted by the technical settings of a camera. The sensory extensions of the "E-Camera" allow the artist to add a further much more intimate and immediate component to her work enriching it with her emotions in the moment the picture’s taken.

"E-Camera" is communicating with biometric sensors that are attached to the photographer’s body. These sensors measure the photographer’s heart rate, body-temperature and galvanic value, when taking a picture. All of these data strongly reflect the photographer’s emotions. Whenever the photographer takes a picture a software analyses the photographer’s momentary body data and remixes the picture in a way that resembles the original picture. Based on the body data the picture is enriched, almost distorted, by an evocative interpretation of the photographer’s emotional state.

The OSGi IoT Demo for the OSGi Community Event and EclipseCon 2017 has been updated and extended to deliver another interesting and informative showcase of OSGi in action in IoT.

Taking the foundations from the last three years of demos we will be using products from multiple vendors, open source projects and Raspberry PI computers to operate and control LEGO® trains running around a track. For 2017, we add a new and exciting dimension: a robot that will interact with the trains.

The robot will be used to load and unload cargo from train carriages and will be fully integrated into the OSGi environment and pluggable train management and control systems. The cargo will be tracked using IoT sensors in each container.

Present your IoT-related hardware, software, tools, and gadgets, and show how you are designing, building, and using IoT. Hands-on activities will help attendees learn, share, and show off a bit. Space is limited, so please submit by the September 15 deadline, and include as much information as possible (title, description, hands-on activities, connection with Eclipse or open source, etc.) Participants will be chosen by Friday, September 22, or earlier if we fill up.
