Getting the Hello Example Remote Service
As a result of ECF's transition to Git, this tutorial no longer works. Instead, to obtain the example service, you can use the EGit plugin by cloning the following repository:
git://git.eclipse.org/gitroot/ecf/org.eclipse.ecf.git
In there you can find the three needed projects:
org.eclipse.ecf.examples.remoteservices.hello
org.eclipse.ecf.examples.remoteservices.hello.host.rs
org.eclipse.ecf.examples.remoteservices.hello.consumer.rs
Unfortunately, as EGit does not yet support project set files, these steps have to be done manually.
From this point on, the tutorial is deprecated.
The hello example service is defined, along with a simple implementation, in the following projects in CVS

For convenience, here a project set file for these projects. Save this project set file to your local disk, and then import into your workspace.
The IHello service interface above is contained in the o.e.e.e.remoteservices.hello bundle, along with a trivial implementation (in org.eclipse.ecf.examples.remoteservices.hello.impl.Hello).
