Gemini Meeting - Tues Aug 16, 2011

Attendees: Mike Keith, Tom Ware, Juergen Kissner

  1. Subproject Updates
    • JPA
      • Added a number of bug fixes/features
        • Added new 4.3 weaving service
        • Dynamic data source support
        • Code fixup
      • Mike seems to have broken the Tycho build infra and has no clue how he did it (Krum looking at it)
      • About to release RC3
    • DBAccess
      • 1.1 stream includes Maven/Tycho and Hudson build infrastructure
      • Want 1.0 release to include new build infra
      • No new dependencies, so no need for new CQs
      • Still need to add zip file construction to automatic build process
      • Juergen is about to go on vacation so won't have time to do 1.0 release until October
  2. Common Repos
    • Juergen mentioned that the egit folks had to entirely open up their repo in order to allow Hudson to copy build artifact to it
    • Mike will probably set up the update site in a shared place and each of the subprojects can copy their released components to it
    • Will only store public-facing components, not snapshot builds in the common repo. Subprojects may have their own update site to store snapshots
  3. JPA and DBAccess Release Coordination
    • Mike thinks that he can wait until October to release so that DBAccess and JPA can put out a synchronized release together
    • Juergen to look at calendar and send out an email to dev to propose a release date
