The second milestone of the Equinox provisioning work, code named p2, is now available. This follows the initial Milestone 1 release.

New and Noteworthy

Some notable improvements in this milestone:

  • You no longer have to install the provisioning agent into the root of your c: drive
  • Support for update, uninstall, and rollback has been added
  • An initial replacement for Update Manager in the Eclipse platform UI is available. This UI isn't part of the SDK - you have to install it separately (using p2, of course!)

Getting Started

For those who want to learn more, give it a spin or get involved, we've put together a series of guides that will help you along the path. These documents will continue to fill out and evolve with the provisioning support.
