CEA List

Part of CEA Tech, the technological research division of CEA, the CEA LIST institute carries out research on digital systems. The focus of its R&D programs includes advanced manufacturing, embedded systems and ambient intelligence.

CEA Tech will demonstrate Papyrus and Frama-C, each an open source platform providing industrial, cutting-edge solutions for the conceptualization, design, and verification and validation of software-intensive systems. CEA Tech also focuses on many-core and multi-core architecture issues. In parallel, CEA Tech research also involves the integration of image processing, computer vision algorithms and data fusion with its embedded calculators.

Sierra Wireless

Sierra Wireless® will demonstrate how mangOH™, the first open source hardware platform meant to ease the prototyping and the productization of IoT applications, can monitor and acquire any sensor data and send it to the cloud, and receive commands from the cloud. This demo will use:

  • 8 different sensors (temperature, luminosity, humidity, dust, sound, oxygen, CO2, CO)
  • mangOH Green board
  • WP8 Sierra Wireless module
  • Legato(tm) application framework (open source Yocto project)
  • AirVantage™ cloud & IoT acceleration platform

In addition, the IoT meetup group Franken will host a hands-on mangOH meetup session altogether with Sierra Wireless experts, on February 24 (7pm). During this event, Sierra Wireless will provide training and deliver the demo source code and instructions to build your own prototype.Register here.

AMALTHEA4Public

AMALTHEA4Public is the project behind the Eclipse APP4MC project. APP4MC is an open source tool platform for engineering embedded multi- and many-core software systems. The platform enables the creation and management of complex tool chains including simulation and validation. As an open platform, proven in the automotive sector by Bosch and their partners, it supports interoperability and extensibility and unifies data exchange in cross-organizational projects.

Drop by the booth to see one of the platform demonstrator projects, an automotive infotainment touch display center. The demo is by BHTC (Behr-Hella Thermocontrol GmbH) who is contributing HMI use cases to the project.

About embedded world:

The embedded world conference and exhibition is a major and international event focusing on embedded systems in Nürnberg. In 2015 the exhibition and conference had over 25000 attendees from 42 countries, thus making it an integral meeting point for the embedded systems community. With a selection of themes ranging over systems, software and connections, the event is aimed at developers and development managers, project managers and engineering executives. Participants come from very different sectors, various kinds of industries through machine building and automation to automotive engineering and medical technology. This year, an Engineering Focus will additionally concentrate on the Internet of Things.
