In order to test this provider, I've created a p2 repository for a new httpclient provider feature.  See the zip attached to this page. To use this, unzip to local directory, then open p2/3.4 update manager and add a new (Local) site pointed at <top>/repos. Installing this feature will then enable use of httpclient-based provider for subsequent install/update operations.

bug 220240 requests that we distribute ECF's httpclient (3.0.1)-based filetransfer provider with p2 M3.

In order to test this provider, I've created a p2 repository for a new httpclient provider feature. See the file Media:Ecf.httpclient.p2repo.2.1.0.v20071017-1635.zip‎.

To use this, first download and unzip to local directory, then open p2/3.4 update manager and add a new (Local) site pointed at <top>/repos. Installing this feature will then enable use of httpclient-based provider for subsequent install/update operations.

Client here for a project set file for the relevant feature project, source, and orbit-provided dependencies.
