Definition

Higgins uses the Identity Gang definition of Digital Identity summarized here:

The digital representation of a set of Claims made by one Party about itself or another Digital Subject.


In Higgins

A Digital Identity is the "runtime" representation of identity information about a Digital Subject. A Digital Identity is in Higgins analogous to a security token used in an identity exchage. It is often digitally signed by an issuer. The issuer may be the "source" of the claims being made in the Digital Identity, but the source may be another Digital Subject.
