As the software for complex ECUs gets more and more complex, so does the build process for that software. Simple makefiles builds are no longer a viable solution - the introduction of model based development, such as AUTOSAR requires build frameworks that are aware of (sub-models). File based dependency analysis is no longer sufficient. Several companies are working to provide their own build frameworks. Within the Automotive Industry Working Group, a new work package (WP 6) has been created to coordinate activites. Initial proposals come from Continental and Robert Bosch GmbH. The slides for these proposals are attached to this Wiki Page.
