EclipseCon 2013 Volunteers

Revision as of 12:36, 11 March 2013 by Unnamed Poltroon (Talk) (Add tutorial help information)

Welcome to the EclipseCon 2013 volunteers page!

About EclipseCon 2013

We're excited about the changes to EclipseCon this year. This year, the conference will take place in Boston, MA, and are co-located once again with Agile ALM Connect, and OSGi DevCon 2013. The Seaport Hotel and World Trade Center is a beautiful venue right next to the Boston Harbor, and just a few minutes away from downtown!

What will you be doing?

1. Monday: You will be helping out with tutorials all day
2. Tuesday to Thursday: You will be a time keeper and we will assign you to a room for half a day (everyday)
3. We might videotape the sessions during the conference. We'd like to know:

  • Who has a laptop and does it run Fedora or Ubuntu?
  • If you have a laptop, are you willing to bring your computer with you at the conference.

Which tutorial?

Please let us know what 2 tutorials you'd like to be assigned too and we'll try our best to assign you to at least one of them. Add your name to a morning tutorial and an afternoon tutorial.

Travel, Lodging and Food

Please note that the Eclipse Foundation is not responsible for lodging and travel costs. You will also need to pay for most of your own food. Lunch will be provided everyday, snacks and beverages on Monday and appetizers and beverages on Tuesday afternoon, but breakfast and dinner is not included. There are many restaurants near the hotel.

Room share and ride share

Please use this page to communicate with one another if you like, especially to make plans to share hotel rooms or rides. If you plan on staying at the Seaport Hotel, be sure to reserve your room early; we expect the hotel to sell out and staying there is the best way to get the full conference experience.

Room shares

Add your contact info here if you'd like to share a room.
