The projects of the Eclipse Platform are migrating their source code repositories from CVS to Git in the Summer of 2011. For details on the exact timeframe see Bug 354894 - Migrate User Assistance projects from CVS to Git. The User Assistance projects were migrated to Git on August 22.
How does this affect me?
If you are used to accessing the sources of the User Assistance project using CVS this will no longer work after the sources have been migrated. The only way to access the latest sources or commit changes will be to use Git. After the migration starts the CVS repository will be read only.
