- Eclipse - More than just an IDE

- Abstract - Eclipse is commonly know as a Java IDE. However, it is much more than that. This session will present an overview of the Eclipse Foundation and its nearly 100 open source software projects.
- Eclipse v3.5 - Galileo
- Speaker - Dennis O'Flynn, Compuware Corporation
- Abstract - Galilo is the 4th release train from the Eclipse Foundation. This session will highlight the over 30 Eclipse projects that will be simultaneously released with Galileo
Product Demos (15-20 minutes each)
- Compuware Fault Manager

- Abstract - Fault Manager is a reporting solutions based upon the Eclipse BIRT project. This demo will show how Fault Manager leverages BIRT to design and customize reports that can be viewed either in a rich client or with a browser accessing web application.
- Eclipse as a Server-Side Platform
- Speaker - Dennis O'Flynn, Compuware Corporation
- Abstract - The Eclipse Rich Client Platform is popular for client-side applications. But Eclipse can also be used to host server-side solutions as well. Eclipse is based upon Equinox, an implementation of the OSGi specification. This demo will show how Eclipse can be leveraged to deploy plug-ins into a server-side environment that utilize OSGi Service Applications and Service Components.
- Compuware Vantage Service Manager v11

- Abstract - Vantage Service Manager in version 11 has gone through a transformation from purely a Java Swing application into Eclipse RCP. This demo will go through the product in terms of lessons learned and technologies leveraged to successfully merry Java Swing and the SWT of Eclipse RCP. You don't need to re-write it all, as they can co-exist!
