The Eclipse Foundation strongly believes that facilitating networking and face-to-face interactions is key to fostering the Eclipse community. One way the Foundation supports this initiative is through regional Eclipse Days. An Eclipse Day is an event that may be focused on a particular geographic region or a particular industry. It is an event that has a set, published agenda and lasts a full day. Note that Eclipse Days are different from the DemoCamp program the Eclipse Foundation runs periodically. DemoCamps are considerably more informal with flexible agendas, and typically last 2 or 3 hours.
Here are some guidelines and tips to help you plan an Eclipse Day for your local community or industry.

Eclipse Funding
The Foundation offers sponsorship money to approved events, however please note that there is a limited budget so funds will be awarded on a "first come, first served" basis.
The criteria for Foundation sponsorship of an Eclipse Day are:

- The Eclipse Day must be a community event open to the public, with preference given to events that have presenters and sponsors from multiple organizations.
- The event must be at least 1 full day.
- The event program must demonstrate significant Eclipse content.
- There must be a public web site for the event that lists the program and registration information.
- Final attendance of the Eclipse Day must be 50 people or more.
