Minutes
- Overall project, releases, etc.
- Next builds, releases
- 6.0 Juno - PTP 6.0.0 released June 27; 6.0.1 June 29; 6.0.2 planned for Juno SR1 on 6/28; last build for us would be RC4+2 on 9/18
- 9/6 build is ready now, no changes so far. Next week is RC4; SR1 GA is 9/28. Announce PTP 6.0.2 next week? Prior to SR1, no need to wait.
- We could still use some more doc updates, esp. to new Res Mgrs since Juno, and retooled into launch config dialog.
- We will branch the repo after SR1. ptp_6_0 branch and master will be for Kepler release.
- To commit to both:
- commit to ptp_6_0 branch
- merge with master
- To commit to ptp_6_0 only
- commit to ptp_6_0 branch
- merge with master
- reverse the commit
- To commit to master only
- just commit to master
- Greg has been removing some legacy code, in private branch. Will commit to master after ptp_6_0 branch. Cleaning up and simplifying code will make it easier for people to understand the code base. This reduces the size of the code base too.
- To commit to both:
- Kepler M2+3- Oct 10 - we moved to +3 build day. M1 build was not successful since several pre-req projects didn't opt in to aggregation. M2 should be better.
- Download stats
- 43,389 for Juno Parallel package since Juno release June 27 (as of today 9/11 before the meeting.)
- Compare with 64,860 total Indigo SR2 (PTP 5.0.x)
- See bottom of page for more details
- Next builds, releases
- Status Reports
- ETFw - Wyatt - making changes for UI in time for SC tutorial. Kevin @U.Oregon reports that BG/Q display is ok; BG/P layout seems broken. Oregon seems best group to look at this.
- Testing! Need folks to test Parallel package. Everyone try at least to submit a job with your favorite Res Mgr. Greg recently implemented some documented but unimplemented features in JAXB.
- Greg is working on RCP app for stand-along Monitor-only. Will commit and discuss at next week's meeting. Add to Agenda: Stand-alone RCP App for monitoring
- Chris Navarro - finishing up another project then 100% on PTP including ETFW+JAXB
- Sync Projects - John Eblen - Greg asked about when to use path vs. RegExp, requests file wildcard matching, one-way sync. Bugs opened:
- 389304 Simplify sync project filtering and 389306 Allow one-way sync projects
- Brian W asked about editing RegExps in filters 389320 Select Filter in Pattern View and display in Entry fields
- Education and Outreach

- http://www.ncsa.illinois.edu/Conferences/Eclipse - presentations posted after the workshop are at PTP Chicago workshop Sept 2012
