I found that the mentioned archived mylyn jira connector is not working for our jira-version v7.9.1.

But there is another archived version which is hosted (I type this at 31. Mai 2018 *g*) here: http://update.atlassian.com/atlassian-eclipse-plugin/rest/e3.7
