When developper talk about deployment, they often think about automatisation of this task. The generator have to propose command line feature for calling ant task or eclipse application like EMF generator do. Moreover,
it would be nice to be able to automatically download the source code from svn or cvs (see http://subclipse.tigris.org/svnant.html )
When you talk about a pure java installer, the user have to get a version of java on his operating system. But in certain configuration, the rcp application have to be run on specific version of java. I suggest that, the installer process ask to the user to install the wright version of java or install him automatically by checking an option.
