Quality Focus Items (Neil)

• Focus Item:

• Untargeted severity "Major" and higher bugs opened before March 1st, 2010 (Current: 30)
• Options:

• Target to a specific release or "future" if planning to fix but not in the next release
• Adjust severity as appropriate

• Previous Focus Item:

• Untargeted bugs with patches attached opened before March 1st, 2010 (Current: 14)
• Options:

• Mark invalid patches as obsolete
• Target bugs to a release or "future" if not a current release

• Old Bugs

• Bugs untargeted and untouched before 2008
• Options:

• Triage to WONTFIX if no further action is planned on this item (or at least mark as "helpwanted" if you don't wish to change the resolution of the bug)
• Set a target of "Future" or a specific release/milestone if you do plan on taking on this item in the future

As bugs are fixed, please use <del></del> element to "strike out" bug number, so there can be an ongoing record of fixes, especially for "planned" items. Please update individual reports and summary, as you do so.

No response to mailing list question?

So, please _do_ search for "old" accessibility bugs and take those into account on reports.

Reminder: be sure to check "language on page" (e.g. see bug 306105 and bug 306109). It is "new this year". Are our "help" documents compliant?

Other business

• We'll soon have new, multiple versions of javax.servlet.jsp in our stack. 2.0 (from Platform) and 2.1 (from us). See mailing list.

• Discuss EDL (vs. EPL). While Board approval is required to use EDL, The Board has given blanket approval for "samples and templates". Any interest? Ability this release?

"Runtime only" builds should not have any "source code" (including java, xml, html, jsp, etc.). If it does, it may be intended to be used as an example or template specifically intended for users to modify for their use. If so, Eclipse Distribution License (EDL) would be appropriate.
