Discussion of ellipses
There seems to be confusion on the use of ellipses. Looking to Windows as an example, XP and Vista guidelines say one thing, but apps are not consistent. Ellipses imply a popup window, but not all menu items with popups get ellipses. What should be the guideline?
Not an easy answer. Properties and preferences are different. We will comment on bug 226468 and put something in the guidelines.
