Logistics

Attending: Kathy, Eugene, Oliver, Chris

Any objections to last week summary

  • Paul made a minor correction to wiki and posted it

4.5.2.1 Stream

  • Kathy mentions that there are some defect fixes checked in and build is in process
  • IBM was initially hoping for a few other defect fixes from Intel team.
    • Intel still investigating a few and recently put in a "works as expected" on one.
    • IBM folks will examine "works as expected" defect in more detail

We discussed one defect (283199) regarding memory analysis taking a long time to startup/collect data. It used to crash but now with IBM JRE it does not crash but it takes a very long time (~30min) for a medium sized workload.

IBM mentioned that they might try to calendar some dedicated IM time between the Canada/China teams to speed up interactions that are currently limited to overnight email threads.

4.6 Stream

  • Work is in progress
  • No worries at the moment.
  • No current risk on P1 defects

Misc

We rehashed the ongoing saga of getting Itanium systems to IBM

  • Some forward progress in discussions

Kathy following up with MacOS donation CQ detail

  • She now has enough detail from contributor to move forward with that.

Team discussed Harm's project resignation notice

  • General agreement that he will be sorely missed
  • Harm has agreed that he will respond to things that we specifically request of him and will continue to be an advocate for Eclipse related things. However, we need to be specific when we request input from him instead of expecting him to monitor and look for areas to provide input.

Oliver asked if we want to continue weekly calls or do less regularly

  • Chris says can probably do 2weeks for next ~month
  • Kathy thinks mid/late aug should restart weekly
  • Eugene okay with biweekly until we reach test pass and that we can discuss near term issues with each other via email

Next week's PMC meeting was cancelled.

Aug 10 Kathy will go on vacation for 4 weeks

  • Kathy will finish delegating on the meeting on the 5th.
  • Eugene will cover most of the TPTP related items
