The STP Incubator Subproject is a proposal being developed by the STP PMC to construct a sub-project that will facilitate contributors and the community in extending the capabilities of STP. The intent is to provide a space where multiple contributors to a particular technology can put code, refactor it, rearchitect and reimplement it, in a manner visible to the community as a whole. The details of the operation of the Incubator subproject is still in the pre-proposal stage.
