Welcome to the wiki home of the STP/SCA sub project. This page is an entry point to last information about the STP/SCA sub project.

June 4, 2008: We released Ganymede RC3 (update site: http://download.eclipse.org/stp/updates/ganymede).
May 21, 2008: A newsgroup named SCA Tools was created to discuss about the SCA Tools project (news://news.eclipse.org/eclipse.stp.sca-tools).
May 20, 2008: Declaration for the SCA Tools Project.
March 19, 2008: We are talking at EclipseCon 2008! Building Easily and Quickly an SCA Composite.
March 5, 2008: New tutorial available! First Steps with the SCA Composite Designer.

SCA Composite Metamodel: SCA metamodel (OSOA) + additional binding, interface, implementation.
SCA Composite Designer: GMF modeler to construct SCA assembly files.
SCA Samples: A set of ready to use SCA example projects.

3 components are still in developpement:

SCA Composite XML Editor: XML editor for composite files.
SCA Composite Form Editor: an editor for composite files based on Eclipse forms.
SCA Composite Introspector: Construct SCA assembly file in a bottom-up approach.

The SCA Composite Designer is available for download from the STP Update site at http://download.eclipse.org/stp/updates/ganymede.

June 2008, release V1.0 in Ganymede:

SCA Common: SCA nature, wizard for the creation of new SCA assembly files, preference pages, basic samples.
SCA Meta Model: SCA specifications 1.0 from OSOA + additional validation rules which apply on the SCA assembly description files.
SCA Composite Designer: support of Tuscany SCA elements.
Update of the web site and the wiki.
Tutorial that explain how to use SCA tools.

December 2008:

SCA Commons: complex samples.
SCA Meta Model: full support of the additional validation rules.
SCA Composite Designer: support of Frascati SCA elements.
SCA Composite Form editor.
SCA Composite XML Editor: completion on service, reference, and enhanced outline.
Integration with the STP Policy Editor component.
Integration with the STP Service Creation component.
Integration with the STP SOA System component.

March 2009:

SCA Meta Model: support of SCA specifications that should be published in december 2008 by OASIS.
SCA Composite Designer: update with the new meta model.
SCA Composite Editors: update with the new meta model.
SCA Introspector: support of POJO and EJB introspection.
