Chris Elford

Chris Elford is a principal engineer at Intel Corporation and concentrates primarily on analysis and optimization of emerging technology applications. Chris joined Intel Corporation in 1998 after receiving his Ph.D. at the University of Illinois/Urbana-Champaign (concentrating on automatic optimization of parallel file system policies). Chris started at Intel analyzing how database applications intersect the underlying platform before transitioning to a team that works to ensure that Java applications work well on Intel processor based platforms.

Chris Goldthorpe

Chris Goldthorpe works for IBM and is a committer for Eclipse User Assistance. He is currently working on features for Eclipse 3.4. He has a Masters degree (Mathematics) from the University of Oxford.

Ted spends most of his time eating in fine restaurants, hiking, reading novels, and making furniture. He also attends user group meetings and codes a bunch. He volunteers at the IEEE Oregon section and the Eclipse Foundation (ECF project).

Emerson Murphy-Hill

Emerson Murphy-Hill is a Ph.D. candidate at Portland State University, investigating how programmers use refactoring tools and building programmer tools for Eclipse. His research into usability of refactoring tools was named one of the top student research projects internationally in June and again in October at OOPSLA 2007 (http://www.acm.org/src/winners.html).
