Minutes

1. Overall project, releases, etc.
   • Next builds, releases
     • 6.0.4 Juno SR2 - delayed from 2013-02-22 to 2013-03-01 - problem with Git delayed it; fix was to backlevel the git support.
     • 6.0.5 Mar 15 - user yesterday's build (3/11) - N.B. rebuild was done 3/14; that was 6.0.5
       • Beth will email ptp-dev to encourage testing

     • 7.0.0 Kepler
       • see Kepler Planning page
       • M6+3 is 3/20 - which is API freeze (after that, must email ptp-dev list to announce API changes)
         • SysMon (Standalone Monitoring-only app) is being built. Discusion of API vs. non-API - more packages not in API gives us more flexibility. Can use from another PTP plug-in then export package to downstream plug-in (manifest x-friends). Eternal packages can still have access; will get warnings.
       • M7+3 is 5/15

   • Downloads are increasing. Increase in bugs and ptp-user and ptp-dev mailing list traffic

2. Status Reports
   • Bug status/triage - still need to schedule - still have approx. 300 bugs. Need to triage, lower the priority or close bugs that are not likely to be fixed. Bugs need reproducible data if they are to be addressed.
     • Does CDT remote include fix still work on Juno SR2 levels? Greg's changes did not get accepted into CDT. Greg will check and rebuild our fix if needed. Beth will open bug (https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=403130 Bug 403130)
     • Is a list of bug stats useful? Gentle reminder is useful! Should we have a bug fixing day? Could Jay (SI2 grant) fund an additional bug-fixing day during an in-person meeting e.g. pt-dev meeting in the fall?
     • CDT remote include fix - status since SR2?
   • Carsten/LML - UCAR Yellowstone (uses LSF batch) got access from Jay. Tested monitoring. Fixed 1 bug. LML is now split into separate data and layout parts. Greg accepted patch which is now committed. Special tag in TSC xml to indicate.
     • Feedback/suggestions from IBM usage - 1. Selecting jobs - click and hold isn't intuitive. Greg opened a bug, suggesting simple click (Bug 403060 2. Display reservations in addition to currently running jobs. Bug 403064 Carsten unclear if he has resources for additional PTP development above bug fixing. He will give us pointers on how to implement these in the bugzilla bugs.
