  • Testing - Please keep testing everyone, fixes can go into a bugfix release soon
    • Plan to release PTP 6.0.1 at Juno release (June 27) or shortly thereafter
    • Might do another bugfix release prior to XSEDE tutorial (which is July 16)
  • Eclipse Kepler (June 2013 Eclipse release) - don't branch for this yet.
    • Kepler plans: Remove Legacy Res Managers, proxy (deprecated for Juno)
  • Status
    • Synchronized Projects:
      • Greg changed new project wizard UI to group local and remote directory info sections
      • Merge Conflict - John added html help and updated screen shots
      • Bug related to move and copy of projects fixed
  • Testing
    • Automated GUI testing - any ideas?
      • John using SwtBot some; John has used Jubula before;
      • Issues with testing connection with remote servers; Passwords are stored in a sample config file, real ones are not committed; could it run on Hudson build server @eclipse.org?
      • Jay will look into NCSA machine and security issues for testing
      • Roland will look into how eGit does testing. Could we test remote to localhost?
  • Framework - Integration of Active Jobs - commands to control Job (e.g. cancel/hold) - Greg added recently
    • Can only control jobs launched via Eclipse
  • Claudia reports Wolfgang working on problmes with monitoring; closing and restarting connection caused problems.
  • ETFw - Wyatt
    • Convert to JAXB with Chris Navarro's help (in PTP 7.0?)
    • Brian Watt inspried some new features in 6.0.1
    • Bluegene support - OK but needs more work; Kevin Huck working on this
    • Integrate with PTP module support? Jeff says it also works with softenv support, but hasn't tested it much. Modules support does support launching
  • Next User call is June 27
    • "New and Noteworthy Tour" for PTP 6.0 which releases with Juno on that date
    • Jay will drive the 'tour' (Correction: Jeff Overbey drove the demo/tour for the PTP User call on June 27)
  • Video software for capturing demo movies?
    • Camtasia (costs $$); Jeff recommends HyperCam (Free)
  • Outreach
    • Tutorials upcoming: XSEDE July 16(accepted); SC12 (expect notification July 1?); ORNL Tutorial (Greg+Beth) September?; ICS tutorial @Vencie 1/2 day (N.B. ICS tutorial cancelled); Juelich tutorial full day (Greg + Carsten) after ICS
    • Face to Face User and Developer Meeting in Chicago Area during the second half of September - need to schedule (N.B. Tentative Sept 18-19?)
    • Tutorial planning for XSEDE, Juelich, etc. - use PBS Batch for sample project.
