  1. PTP Status
    • Merge of TRY_RMR brach back into HEAD scheduled for 4/16. Will probably take a week or so to get bugs fixed.
    • The changes include:
      • Addition of resource manager support
      • Complete redesign of the runtime system hierarchy
      • New state machine to drive proxy communication
      • New model hierarchy and redesigned interfaces
      • New model events
      • Extension points for contributing RM core and UI code
    • Randy has designed a new launch configuration extension point for contributing launch UI components to the Parallel Launch tab
  2. Project Reports
    • TAU contribution update
      • Has been seen by Foundation, delayed by Europa release
      • Foundation has asked that it be updated to latest version (good sign)
    • PE/LoadLeveler status
      • Still waiting for legal process, may be another month before it can be contributed
    • ANTLR legal status
      • Have requested review by Foundation
      • Foundation want to wait for final release (somtime in May)
    • Remote status
      • Work will start in earnest after TRY_RMR merge
    • PLDT update
      • Need to clean up MPI barrier analysis code before contributing
      • Will know more about future plans after Toronto meeting this week
      • ACTION: Craig requested a list of API calls
    • Performance tools
      • Wyatt is waiting for TRY_RMR merge before making more changes
      • Rice plan to start integrating in May
      • Beth is working on a generic performance framework
      • TuningFork, IBM's Eclipse-based visualization tools, will be made open source within the next few months
      • Wyatt was interested in AIX support for Photran/CDT
    • Fortran
      • Rose needs a Fortran parser. ANL use Rose
      • Craig is working on implementing AST nodes
      • Chris is fixing bugs on test code. Parse now able to accept POP code
    • Other
      • Adam asked about PTP extension points. Randy said there are three and can provide more information if needed.
  3. PTP workshop
    • There will be a PTP workshop to discuss issues about integrating tools with PTP at Oak Ridge National Laboratory on May 23-24.
    • We will run a PTP tutorial the day before the workshop (May 22).
