A MSPEC is the topmost input to the Buckminster materialization process. It specifies "the thing you want materialized" in terms of a BOM or a CQUERY and provides guidelines for materialization such as what destination type that should be used, what install location to use, and what to do in case of conflict.

Editors etc. for the MSPEC will arrive soon. Meanwhile, you can use your favourite XML editor. You can find the XML-Schema for the MSPEC here.
