According to Wikipedia, Machine-to-Machine (M2M), refers to technologies that allow both wireless and wired systems to communicate with other devices of the same ability.

There are several initiatives to bring Machine-to-Machine technologies at Eclipse:

Koneki project proposal

Koneki is a project proposed in the Incubator of the Technology Project.

It is currently gathering community, and the Creation Review should happen in late April 2011.

M2M Industry Working Group

A new Industry Working Group is being created.
