Introduction

The CloudFree Open Source Project is an Eclipse project for creating an open, dynamic and extensible platform for Equinox based server solutions. The goal of CloudFree is providing a set of frameworks and tools around Equinox to allow seamless and pain-free operation of Equinox server clusters. It also provides frameworks and concepts for developing scalable services and applications which can be offered in a Software-as-a-Service model and in a traditional self-hosted model.

Project Proposal

The CloudFree project proposal has been published on the eclipse.org website, and it passed creation review (slides) on October 8, 2008 successfully. Please use the CloudFree newsgroup for any feedback you might have.

Scope & Name Change

We are currently discussing changes to our project scope and name. The proposed new scope can be found here.
