Gemini Meeting - Thursday June 17, 2010

• Subproject Updates
  • Web
    • Many of the dependencies are getting approved
    • One Tomcat dependency was potentially problematic, but was just approved
    • Shipped a milestone of Virgo that included Gemini Web Container
  • DBAccess
    • Code is in good shape to be part of a milestone or even an incubation release
    • All of the dependencies have been approved
  • Management
    • Code has been checked into SVN
    • Code is in good shape to be part of a milestone or even an incubation release
    • All of the dependencies have been approved
  • JPA
    • Most of the dependencies have been approved
    • Still in the process of resolving one final set of dependencies on EclipseLink
    • Next step is to ensure the code works with the updated EclipseLink and DBAccess dependencies
  • Naming
    • Plan to check code in first part of next week
    • Will be on vacation the last part of the week

• Roadmap
  • Incubation Releases
    • Need to have all of the CQs approved before an incubation release can be completed
    • Blueprint or Web Container projects don't want to create incubation releases because of version issues
    • JPA was intending to have an incubation release by the end of July (might turn it into a milestone drop)
  • Milestones
    • Would be useful if we could have a time when all of the subprojects were able to have a coordinated milestone drop around the same time
    • All projects should be in good shape to make a stable milestone drop available by the end of July
  • Demo
    • Shaun Smith has a Comic Book application that we can use for the demo
    • Will target the demo to be working on the July 30 milestone drops of the subprojects
  • Still need to set a goal for when we want to be out of incubation
