This year, for the first time, the Eclipse Foundation will have an exhibit at embedded world 2015 in Nuremberg, Germany. Partnering with OSADL, the Open Source Automation Development Lab, we will present participating Eclipse members, working groups and research projects.

You can visit us at booth 4-160 February 24-26, 2015. Here's a preview of some of the technologies you'll see:

About embeddedWorld:
The embedded world conference and exhibition is a major and international event focusing on embedded systems in Nürnberg. In 2014 the exhibition and conference had over 15000 attendees from 38 countries, thus making it an integral meeting point for the embedded systems community.

With a selection of themes ranging over systems, software and connections, the event is aimed at developers and development managers, project managers and engineering executives. Participants come from very different sectors, various kinds of industries through machine building and automation to automotive engineering and medical technology. This year, an Engineering Focus will additionally concentrate on the Internet of Things, and a second one on Security & Safety.

Demos at the Eclipse Booth

Each of the participating company´s are going to demo their projects at the demo area.

AMALTHEA4public

AMALTHEA4public will demo applications of the tool platform including an automotive example integrating an HVAC unit, tablets, boards and sensors, and a simulation and optimization tool for testing timing structures based on AMALTHEA models.

bitreactive

Block by Block Towards Correct Eclipse IoT Applications
Frank Alexander Kraemer, CTO Bitreactive
Reactive Blocks is an Eclipse-based toolset to create IoT applications from building blocks. It is especially good at solving the challenges of concurrency that most IoT applications face. We will demonstrate how to build applications that use Eclipse technologies Kura, CoAP and MQTT. With Reactive Blocks, it is easy to combine these technologies, block by block. We’ll show how to automatically check that applications are free of behavioral errors, and how to automatically generate the difficult code needed to sync all concurrent behavior.

Eclipse IoT

Connect & Manage your embedded devices with CoAP, LwM2M and MQTT
Benjamin Cabé – Eclipse Foundation

Come and learn about the open standards that allow you to connect your embedded devices to the Internet of Things. From really constrained devices (~100K flash / 10K RAM) to powerful gateways, Eclipse IoT provides all the open source protocols and implementations and device management agents for your IoT solution.

Sirius: create your own graphical editors to unleash your MBSE
Etienne Juliot and Christophe Boudjennah
Does your job consist in devising and designing innovative solutions for creating integrated hardware/software products? If this is the case, you will need an efficient graphical tool to describe your design choices, define an architecture, as well as analyze and validate it. What’s more, you must be able to communicate this work to various contacts: your customers, your partners, but also your development teams. Starting from a very simple case to a full industrial MBSE solution for the design of complex systems, you will discover during this demonstration the power of Eclipse Sirius and how it will "graphically" boost your job!

Remi Schenkenberger, PolarSys, CEA LST

Sierra Wireless

Manage Streetlighting system with MQTT and AirVantage M2M Cloud
Crystal Lam (AirVantage - Marketing Manager)
Visit our smart city built with Lego bricks, featuring connected cars, charging station, outdoor signage,…and streetlights. We’ll look at how the LED streetlights communicate using the MQTT protocol. And how we can use the AirVantage M2M cloud to manage a massive number of such lighting system remotely – to assure continuous operations and optimized energy consumption.
