The Eclipse Finance Day is a great opportunity to learn how financial institutions are using and benefiting from Eclipse and open source software. This 1-day event will be held October 16, 2012 at the UBS offices in Zurich Switzerland. There is no cost to attend, but pre-registration is required.
  
We would like to invite technical professionals working in the finance industry to submit a speaking proposal for the Eclipse Finance Day.  We are particularly interested in case studies, experience reports and techniques used by financial organizations who use Eclipse technology to improve their software development processes.

Eclipse Finance Day will feature two important trends: Model Driven Development and ModernizationAttendees will discover how financial institutions are using Eclipse and learn the current best practices. The event will feature speakers from leading financial institutions, like UBS, Credit Suisse, Swiss Mobiliar, Swiss PostFinance and more.  
  
Some suggested topic areas include:

The event is open to everyone working in the financial industry.  Priority registration will be given to individuals that are employed by a financial institution.
  
* Using Eclipse Modeling technology for model-driven development or for creating domain specific languages.
 
* Developing desktop and server applications using Eclipse runtime technology
 
* Creating, deploying and managing application life-cycle management (ALM) tool chains with Eclipse
 
* Extending enterprise applications to the mobile world
 
* Other topics of interest to the finance industry and Eclipse community
 
  
A goal of the conference is to create an opportunity for individuals to learn from the experiences of their peers.  Therefore, preference will be given to proposals from individuals working directly in the finance industry and topics based on experiences of using Eclipse within financial organizations.
