Presenters

If you would like to present at a DemoCamp, please feel free to add your name and topic to the list, or email the organisers. Depending on the number of people interested we may have to limit the number of presenters and time of each demo.

  1. Chris Frost (SpringSource UK Ltd): A short demo introducing the dm-Server and tooling around it. Showing how to develop applications for OSGi using the SpringSource Tools Suite and the dm-Server. I'll start from a blank install of both products, free versions, and finish up with some bundles up and running on the server.
  2. Neil Bartlett: "From Desktop to Web: Building Rich Client and Web applications from a single code base". A short demo of an application which runs both as a desktop "rich client" using Eclipse RCP, and a browser-based Web client using Eclipse RAP. Over 95% of the code is reused between both versions.
  3. Dave Savage & Neil Bartlett: “A introduction and demo of the Sigil project, an Eclipse plugin for the development and test of composite OSGi-based applications.”
  4. Dave Savage: “Introducing the Newton Project” - A demo of the Newton project that offers a distributed OSGi application runtime. This will take an app developed and tested in Sigil and demonstrate how simple it is to deploy, scale and add resilience using Newton as the application runtime.
