Eclipse Day

Revision as of 17:27, 14 January 2009 by Lynn.gayowski.eclipse.org (Talk | contribs) (Summit Day moved to Eclipse Day: want to change from Summit Days to Eclipse Days)

Here are some guidelines and tips to help you plan an Eclipse Day for your local community.

Eclipse Funding

Criteria for sponsorship of an Eclipse Day or an Eclipse Summit are:

  • It must be organized by an Eclipse member company
  • It must be open to all members
  • The event must be a community event, with preference given to events that have multiple organizers or sponsors
  • The event must be at least 1 full day
  • The content should demonstrate significant content in a published agenda
  • There must be a web site for the event that is open to the public, and that lists the event's program
  • Attendance must be more than 50 people

The Eclipse Foundation will offer approved events:

  • $2,000 USD
  • A community bulletin on the eclipse.org homepage
  • Listing in the monthly Eclipse Member Newsletter email
  • Listing in the online Community Events calendar
  • Wiki space, if needed, for the event's homepage
