- BIRT/ODA handles it like this...
- if it can find a JNDI-based connection, it uses it, but if not, it creates a warning and then falls back to the JDBC connection
- Possibilities
- extra properties just added to existing profiles or new profile
- might be better to spin off to make it easier to see whether a connection comes from the JNDI pool vs. a new connection
- possibly create a separate JNDI connection profile that gathers the necessary properties and creates (via a different connection factory) a JDBC connection from the pool
